Mount Lawley

Landscapes: Mount Lawley Golf Club, WA

Steve KeipertOctober 2, 2020
AustraliaCourses / Travel

Much of the vigour in the Perth golf scene lies in the quality of the city’s private layouts that add considerably to the exceptional public and resort courses. They might be largely off-limits, but clubs like Mount Lawley strengthen the overall picture. And fittingly, the Mount Lawley layout resembles many of the other top West Australian courses by working with the natural features of the location. Often thought of as a less undulant version of Lake Karrinyup, Mount Lawley places a premium on accuracy and working with the flow of the land.

Mount Lawley also holds elite status in Australian golf for two reasons: firstly as the home club of our country’s newest Major champion, Hannah Green, and also for being one of only 22 courses to have maintained a place in the Top 100 ever since the first ranking in 1986.
