Kiwi professionals Ryan Fox and Danny Lee have been given late tee-times for Thursday’s opening round of the US PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Lee will play alongside Australia’s Marc Leishman and India’s Anirban Lahiri. The trio will start on Quail Hollow’s 10th tee at 1.20pm (5.20am on Friday, New Zealand time).
Fox tees off an hour later from the 10th at 2.20pm (6.20am, New Zealand time). He is grouped with China’s Hao Tong Li and American JJ Wood.
The year’s three Major winners have an early morning tee-time in Charlotte where British Open champion Jordan Spieth begins his quest for the career Grand Slam.
Spieth will start on the 10th hole at 8.25am (12.25am on Friday, New Zealand time) in a marquee grouping with Masters winner Sergio Garcia and US Open champ Brooks Koepka.
