The clubs Keegan Bradley used to win the BMW Championship

Those who only watched the 72nd hole of the BMW Championship might think Keegan Bradley’s putter nearly cost him a chance to win. Truth is, it was the club that won the tournament for Bradley.

Bradley, who anchored his putter over his entire career, including his 2011 US PGA Championship victory, has since been known as a mediocre to poor putter by tour standards, led the field at Aronimink Golf Club in strokes gained/putting, picking up more than seven shots on the field.

During the final round, Bradley posted an impressive 3.182 strokes gained/putting mark with his Odyssey Works Versa 1W Red Arm Lock putter. The putter is 43 inches in length, with the added length allowing Bradley to brace the putter against his left arm, similar (but not identical) to how Matt Kuchar putts.

The solid putting also helped Bradley convert on six of nine sand saves for the week, helping to keep his momentum going. Bradley’s 58-degree wedge is Cleveland’s new RTX 4 model with low bounce and a True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 shaft.

What Keegan Bradley had in the bag at the BMW Championship:

Ball: Srixon Z Star XV

Driver: TaylorMade M2 2017 (Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 6), 10.5 degrees

3-wood: TaylorMade M4, 16.5 degrees

Hybrid: Callaway Apex, 20 degrees

Irons (3): Srixon ZU65; (4-9): Srixon Z 745; (PW): Srixon Z 945

Wedges: Cleveland RTX 3 prototype (52 degrees); Cleveland RTX 4 (58 degrees)

Putter: Odyssey Works Versa 1W Red Arm Lock
