While there’s been plenty of highlights in the Masters Par 3 Contest, by far the most entertaining group has been the main event, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson. The legendary trio turned back the clock and shot a combined 11-under par on Wednesday, the lowest score coming from Watson, who finished with a six-under 21. Incredibly, the two-time Masters champion is going to win the event, giving him two career wins in the Par 3 Contest. Not a bad resume at Augusta for the 68-year-old.

Yet even with the old guys dropping birdies every other hole, the highlight of the group, and of the entire contest, was provided by Nicklaus’ grandson Gary, who got the opportunity to take a swing on the ninth hole of Augusta’s Par 3 course. Judging by his swing, and his club-twirl game, Gary looks like a player, but not even he could have imagined pulling this off. Check it out:

There are much worse places to make an ace, and there are WAY worse places to make your first ace, which this was for Gary. Unbelievable moment for the Nicklaus family, and Jack went as far as to tell ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi it was the “No.1 moment” for him in golf. It’s certainly the best moment so far in a week that promises to be full of them.
